3. Hair Net (Språng, from wool spun by me)

Using the first wool I had ever spun on a drop spindle I decided to make myself a Språng hairnet.  Using my small wooden frame I warped up the yarn and worked a simple pattern in the yarn.  I don’t remember how many rows I warped, that is something that I need to remember to do in the future.  I have pictures of  me wearing this hair net somewhere, I need to dig them out…

The holed patterns are made by varying the twists in the yarns.  Direction of twist and number of twists creates the holes due to the spaces left in the warp.
